Another family cruise
Since weather would be nearly perfect for a day at the sea, we decided to take the craft out for atleast a short spin. This time we managed to talk our daughter to come with us too. Allthough she was kinda reluctant to do so in the beginning. Before heading out i decided to check aft floatation chambers for possible water. Out of four chambers, one had quite a bit of water in it. I really should be checking those more often, but hatches i got there are so difficult to open that i usually do it only when i have to (once or twice a year) . Weather was actually perfect and unlike usually, the wind did not pose a problem later in the afternoon, quite contrary actually. It was almost dead calm apart from occasional breeze. We visited some relatives and did little bit less than 22kms total. I maxed 51,7km/h per GPS, which by the way is not that comfortable speed in a hovercraft in boat infested waters. |
